the art of uniting human and home

How did I get from negotiating defense contracts in the 1980s to advising clients on one of life’s most personal investments? My path to Krauss Brokerage in 2011 was a natural progression—shaped by corporate discipline, small-business ownership, a lifelong interest in people and desire to make a difference.

A Maryland native and Loyola University graduate, I’ve built trust across very different environments. From managing a department and complex defense contracts to owning and operating Blue Agave, a popular Baltimore restaurant, I learned early that precision matters, pressure is constant, and success depends as much on reading the room as reading the numbers. That mindset defines how I approach real estate today: steady guidance, clear judgment, and accountability at every stage.

Buying or selling a home can be both exciting and overwhelming, even when the timing is right. I work with first-time buyers, downsizers, relocations, and those redefining what “home” looks like next—bringing structure to the process and clarity to each decision. Having navigated frequent moves and downsizing personally, I understand the emotional and logistical weight of transition and focus on simplifying what can feel daunting.

For sellers, that means a methodical approach to market positioning—whether conditions are tight or highly competitive. For buyers, it means creative, decisive strategies that stand out. When the right home isn’t visible, I draw from a deep professional network, off-market opportunities, and targeted outreach to uncover possibilities before they reach the open market.

I’ve navigated corporate leadership, business ownership, and the demands of raising a family—experience that allows me to relate easily to clients across generations and circumstances. Many relationships extend well beyond the closing table, which remains the most rewarding part of what I’ve chosen to do.

Outside of real estate, I’m a wife, mother of grown children, a proud Gigi to my first grand, and devoted cat mom. I love creating in my kitchen and entertaining. A good book in a quiet corner is amazing, and I’m happiest outdoors covered in garden dirt or simply absorbing nature. Above all, I cherish my family, and although scattered across the country much of my free time is spent traveling to be with them – A vivid reminder that the meaning of “home” evolves with every season of life.
